WHAT IS BONUS TRAINING AND WHO CAN APPLY FOR IT?

formación bonificada

Due to the situation we are currently experiencing, it seems that everyone is talking about bonus training. Especially among companies that are concerned about developing the skills of their workers and business growth. And it is no wonder since, thanks to this, both workers and managers can keep up to date in their respective fields of work and work as a team to achieve the company’s objectives.

That’s why everyone wants to take advantage of this opportunity, but… Do we know everything about bonus training?

What is bonus training?

The training bonus is a type of training credit granted by FUNDAE (Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo), until 2015 known as Fundación Tripartita. It is granted to companies that want to train their employees in various disciplines or skills with the aim of applying them in their workplace.

The way it works is as follows: first, the company pays a monthly amount to the Social Security, which is used for training. Once this has been done, the amount can be recovered in the future to invest it in training courses and thus instruct employees in the fields that are most needed at any time. Thanks to this, companies have this training credit at their disposal without having to pay more.

Normally, there are two types of modalities through which these courses can be carried out: online and face-to-face training. However, due to the context in which we find ourselves, since 2020, the modalities have changed and the “new face-to-face training” has been created. This new modality consists in the fact that online training can be subsidised as face-to-face training if it meets specific conditions, such as: the student and the teacher are connected at the same time, they can interact simultaneously, an evaluative record of the student’s progress is kept, etc… As in Classgap for Enterprise we are committed to the personalisation of online training, we meet all the requirements to be subsidised as new face-to-face training.

Not sure how to organise the training of your employees? Don’t worry, from Classgap for Enterprise we offer a free audit service so that the training plan is adapted as much as possible to the objectives of your company.

Who can apply for the subsidy for training courses?

As we have already mentioned at the beginning, this is a training credit granted by the Social Security. For this reason, all companies are entitled to this financial aid to train their employees in the fields they most need.

Requirements for bonus online training

It is important to note that workers of public entities and the self-employed are not allowed to access credit for bonus training. On the other hand, workers who are on ERTE, on sick leave or on leave of absence are entitled to participate in subsidised courses.

In the same way, not all training courses are valid to be subsidised. First of all, it must be a centre accredited by the SEPE. The training must not be less than two hours and cannot last more than eight hours a day. The number of students must also be taken into account, as the number of students can be different for on-site training (maximum 30 students) or online training (maximum 80 employees per tutor).

As far as the business requirements are concerned, you don’t have to worry about that because Classgap for Enterprise will manage the entire training subsidy process for you. All you have to worry about is that your employees enjoy the process and that they make the most of the resources available to them.
